We barely made it back from Mexico before we got blasted with snow. We only had a few inches, but enough snow that school was canceled for 2 days. The kids had fun playing with our sweet neighbor Oscar.

We also got word that the sellers finally got bank approval to sell their home as a short sale. A process that felt like it took forever, but in terms of a short sale was relatively fast. We put an offer on the house on July5 and since hearing about the acceptance of the offer, have done the inspection and are now moving forward through closing on December 7. We hope to spend Christmas in our new home.
We will still own our current home for at least a few more months, but if you want, you can update our information and send any and all Christmas cards and letters to our new address.

We just returned from a weeks vacation at Club Med Ixtapa Pacific in Ixtapa, Mexico, courtesy of the Grandparents. We had a wonderful time! There were 13 of us in all and we all enjoyed some sun and relaxation.

The first night, Aidan caught a gecko in our room

The kids enjoyed kayaking in the ocean. Here Aidan and Grandpa are heading out to go crashing through some waves.

The bigger "kids" did some sailing.
And Aidan lifted some weights!
Everyone had fun doing archery.

And having a trapeze on location was a lot of fun. Especially for the kids! But the big people got in on the fun too!

We all enjoyed pool time

And would stay in the pool for hours!
Our shower had three shower heads, so we often got home from a day at the beach/pool and took family showers.

We had fun dinner games one night where we shared all of our creepy talents. Some more creepy than others!

We made friends with bats. There were at least 3 bats that were in our stairway nearly every day.
Isabella did some kayaking with her kids club group
And all the kids loved trapeze
We had lots of yummy food
And Aidan participated in the entertainment one evening as the first trapeze artist
He's the litte guy on the far right
Take a bow Aidan!
He rocked the costume!
There were kayak wars in the pool
Lots of fun family time poolside
And before dinners
The kids all became regulars at the bar
And had fun joining the band on Mexican night
The kids participated in a pinata party

And one day, we found a turtles nest... unfortunately, after some predator had found it.
We took lots of walks on the beach
and played in the tide pools

Everyone enjoyed the cabanas poolside

All of the kids made new friends, and Isabella even got invited to a birthday party for one of her new friends.
We had a few towel animals
and did a sunset photo shoot on the beach

Owen even caught a gecko one night!
I was out running early one morning and found this guy digging up and reburying these turtle eggs that had just been layed the night before. There was a conservation area so they eggs could hatch and be released. Some had just hatched that morning.
I ran back to get the kids, and all three of them got to hold newly hatched turtles.

Don and Carol did some kayaking
And so did Mike and Owen
We took lots of naps on the beach and by the pool
And later that evening at dusk, we were able to release the turtles into the sea. There were 3 tubs filled with turtles.
Each person got to release at least one

What a cool experience!
Owen and I had a date and walked to the alligator farm down the road.
The Teodoro family took first place in family archery! The team: Don, Steve, Val, Aidan, Owen and Isabella
There was also a circus show on the final night. All three kids participated

Owen is a tiger up in front, and Isabella is hidden behind him
Mike and I got roped into doing some sun dance thing
And we capped off the trip with Isabella getting a pedicure at the spa

The end of a super fun family vacation! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

On the way home, we had a late flight. Owen found a new friend to snuggle up to and sleep with!
